Cleansing Oils are a great option for pre-cleansing because they are designed to dissolve heavy-duty face and eye makeup and then rinse away clean. I have not tried any cleansing oils, but here are some options:

  1. The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Cleansing Oil ($15/125ml) – “This rinse-off cleansing oil removes make-up and impurities. Gently dissolves make-up and lifts away impurities without drying out the skin.”
  2. Mac Cleanse Off Oil: Tranquil ($10/30ml, $30/150ml) – “A mineral oil-free makeup remover/cleanser for the skin. Lifts off makeup leaving skin clear, soft, relaxed. To use, apply and then splash with water. Ultra-gentle: especially good for dry, mature or stressed-out skins.”
  3. Lierac Cleansing Oil ($26/150ml) – “features a lightweight texture that transforms into a milky emulsion upon contact with water to gently remove makeup and other impurities without stripping essential moisture from your skin. For all skin types.”
  4. Nars Makeup Cleansing Oil ($40/200ml) – “A high-performance, extremely mild makeup remover that can be used on wet or dry skin to remove all types of makeup including waterproof. The non-greasy formula glides across skin leaving a silky, smooth feel with natural ingredients to calm irritation.”
  5. Nude Perfect Cleansing Oil Face & Eyes ($36/100ml) – “Packed with omega 3 and 6, this cleanser deeply cleans, eliminating all impurities and even the toughest waterproof makeup, without stripping the skin. It leaves the skin feeling comfortably clean, soft, and supple.”
  6. Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil ($25/200ml) – “A healthier looking future for skin begins here. This lightweight, high-tech, hybrid formula removes dirt, makeup and pollutants with high efficiency while helping to protect precious natural moisture resources and reducing effects of environmental hazards such as irritation.”
  7. Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil ($42/200ml) – “The unique formula is made with soothing jasmine flower extract sourced directly from France, moisturizing kukui nut oil and a blend of Italian olive, organic sunflower and jojoba oils to dissolve surface impurities and makeup without leaving skin feeling tight or dry. Use in the morning to wake up and refresh skin and at night as a soothing end to a long day.”
  8. Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil ($12/55ml, $32/180ml) – “This multitasking cleanser removes makeup and skin impurities while providing deep hydration. Almond, safflower seed, and grape seed oils cleanse the skin’s surface and renew the complexion, leaving it healthy-looking and refreshed. The non-greasy texture leaves skin feeling moisturized, never tight or dry.”
  9. Sephora Supreme Cleansing Oil ($15/190ml) – “Remove every trace of even the most resistant makeup with this soap-free formula. Effective yet gentle, this cleansing oil is suitable for sensitive skin and leaves the face soft and perfectly cleansed, without an oily film. Simply pump into the hands, rub onto dry skin, and add water to change the oil into smooth lotion.”
  10. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil ($5.50/30ml, $14/70ml, $28/200ml) – “removes excess oil, makeup, dirt and other pore-clogging impurities with its water-soluble formula. Infused with olive oil and vitamin E, it nourishes and hydrates the skin, while rinsing completely clean, never leaving behind a greasy residue. For those with rosacea, extra-dry to normal, or mature skins.”
