ImageI did quite a bit of shopping this month, but I head back to college and move into my apartment on the 31st, so there were a few things I wanted to get.

Starting with skincare, I picked up two more Botanical Kinetics products from Aveda. I love the exfoliant, so I picked up the Purifying Creme Cleanser and the Toning Mist. I’m loving both, but you can read my thoughts on the toning mist here.

I got a few nail polishes as well: Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday mini (Sephora 100 point perk), Nails Inc Queen Victoria Street (THE perfect emerald creme), and Orly Smolder (closest dupe to Chanel Malice I could find).

Moving into Makeup, I have been absolutely LOVING eyeshadow, but I picked up an eyeliner as well. The Sephora Smoky Creme Liner in Statue Bronze is a gorgeous summer alternative to black. It adds definition without being harsh. I bought it on clearance, but the Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Smog seems similar. I have an eyeshadow post coming up, but I’ve been really impressed by the Loreal Infallible Eyeshadows in Iced Latte and Bronzed Taupe, as well as the NARS Fall 2013 Gifting Palettes, Ride Up to the Moon and Fairy’s Kiss. I also repurchased the Maybelline One By One Waterproof Mascara for low maintenance days.

I’ve also rekindled my love for Laura Mercier. She makes great face products, but I only picked up two: the Tinted Moisturizer in Porcelain, and the Silk Creme Foundation in Rose Ivory. At the last minute, I threw in the Brow Grooming brush as well, to bump me up to free shipping. I’m very happy with all three products, and I’m sure there will be a few more of her products joining my collection next month.

I’m excited for fall, so I picked up a few lip pencils as well. I love love love red lipstick, and the NARS Velvet Matte Lipstick in Mysterious Red (read about it here) is sure to be worn quite a bit. The Topshop Lip Crayon in Suspect will be great for when I’m feeling a bit brave and want more of a vampy lip.

Finally, I picked up the Loreal Evercreme Intense Nourishing Conditioner and a blue Tangle Teezer. The conditioner is fantastic, and I’ve been using it with the matching shampoo all month. My mom bought me the Tangle Teezer about a week ago, but I absolutely love it. My hair is long, thick, and knots easily. This gets rid of them with no hassle and I can’t believe I waited so long to get one.
