ImageI found a box of pictures the other day, which prompted a trip down memory lane. Unfortunately, some of the photos highlighted my rather round face. So I fished out my Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder in Medium and vowed to contour every day. I just take a bit of it on my Real Techniques Multitask brush, and blend it onto the temples, the cheeks, and the jaw. It’s fairly sheer, easy, and makes quite a difference in my face.

I’ve been skipping blush, and using that minute or so to fill in my brows (with my trusty Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde) and apply eyeshadow instead. Today I used the Loreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Iced Latte all over the lid and on the inner corners, and the NYX Nude Matte Eyeshadow in Confession on the outer corners, in the crease, and on the lashline. I then applied lashings of the Loreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Waterproof Mascara (my favorite).

The face was kept fairly simple, with the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in Rose Ivory and the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla. These two products are my dream team when it comes to making my skin look flawless.

I felt like wearing a bold lip, so I used my MAC Prep and Prime Lip and my new favorite lipstick, the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Mysterious Red. It’s very bright, but it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s limited edition for fall, however, so snap it up while you can!

So there you have it! A simple face and a bold lip. I should have taken a picture, but I didn’t think to do so until after I had removed all of my makeup. Next time, perhaps?
